🌸 Glowy skin, not shiny stress

Hi, Camilla here 💛
And it’s time for a new post, a new look and some new tips.
This look is created based on my own skin, I have combination skin and a fairly light skin tone. But below the look, I’ll also share tips for different skin types, placement of products like setting powder and highlighter, and how you can think about colors and textures depending on your skin tone and tips for may.
But let’s start with the look I created.
✨ Soft Celebration Glow
A fresh, healthy-looking base with strategic glow, soft sculpting and glossy details.
This look works for all skin types.
💛 Glow starts with balance
To create a hydrated base, I start with skincare. I cleanse with Clean Break Cleansing Foam, then go in with Thirst Trap Hydrating Serum, and finish with Glow On Day Cream. Good skincare before makeup really makes a difference, both for hydration and glow.
Glow is about hydration + the right finish. Not about looking oily.
🌿 Base – keep it fresh
For foundation, I use Mineral Liquid Powder Foundation and mix the shades Fair and Porcelain. I apply it with a brush and then go over with a sponge to remove excess.
I keep the coverage light to medium, you can build it up more if you want, but here I want my skin to show through.
Then I set with Setting Powder “Vanilla.”
It has a transparent base, so it works for everyone.
I use a puff and apply it on the eyelids, under the eyes, forehead and slightly out on the cheeks, basically the T-zone where I tend to get a bit oily during the day.
I use älliés brushes for my makeup and they are really easy to work with, same with the puff.
☀️ Bronzer, blush & glow
For bronzer, blush and highlighter, I use Hyperflex Shadows.
I apply Kakao with a fluffy brush on the cheeks and around the forehead to create a soft sun-kissed look. For blush, I use Nyponros, placing it high on the cheeks and slightly toward the eyes to create a lifted effect. I do the same with bronzer placement, it suits my face shape, which is a bit round. But this is very individual, it’s all about what you like. For highlight, I use Apel on the cheekbones, under the brows, on the cupid’s bow and a little on the tip of the nose.

✏️ Brows & eyes
I fill in my brows with Brow Pencil in Blonde. It’s actually a perfect match for me. The pencil is thin, easy to work with and has just the right amount of pigment.
For the eyes, I go for a little celebration pop. I create an eyeliner using Rainbow Strokes Makeup Pen “Laila.” It’s creamy, dries down quickly and really lasts all day. And it comes in several colors, so you can pick your favorite.
💋 Lips
I finish with Lipgloss Squad “Cairo.” It has a plumping effect without being uncomfortable, and the shine just gives that fresh, glossy finish. And I finish with Balance Bea Face Mist for moisturizing and a little bit glow as well as longer-lasting effect
And that’s my look for this time.

Now! Let’s get into some tips.
🎨 Foundation – Choose finish by skin type
🔥 Combination / oily skin:
Mineral Liquid Foundation – Oil-free, buildable, matte finish that still lets the skin glow naturally.
👉 Tip: Keep the center of the face more matte. Place glow where you want it — not where your skin already shines.
🌿 Dry / normal skin:
Work in thin layers and build up.
Want extra glow? Press lightly with a sponge and add highlight on top instead of overloading the base.
✨ Placement – Where glow should go
Glow should lift, not take over.
💡 Highlight – strategic glow
Recommended shades:
- Camelia (warm champagne)
- Apel (cool tone)
- Guld (golden pop)
- Quartz (light, crisp glow)
Place on:
- Top of cheekbones (not too close to the nose)
- Temples
- Cupid’s bow
- Lightly on the bridge of the nose (not all the way down)
🤎 Soft sculpting – Shape without harsh lines
We want shape, not stripes.
Contour shades:
- Valnöt
- Sand
- Kanel
- Kakao
- Or cream contour with Creme Foundation (Almond / Chocolate)
Place:
- Under cheekbones (start further back)
- Lightly along the jawline
- Temples for a sun-kissed effect
🌺 Blush - Life in the glow
May is about color. Let the skin look alive.
Recommended shades:
- Nektarin
- Persika
- Pirrig
- Rodnad
Placement:
- Higher on the cheekbones for lift
- Sweep across the nose for a sun-kissed, celebration vibe
💄 Lips – Glossy celebration energy
Lip combos:
💛 Nude glow:
New York liner + Cairo or Port Louis gloss
🔥 Warm glam:
Banjul liner + Timbuktu or Lusaka gloss
💜 Bold:
Vienna liner + Kampala gloss
Gloss instantly gives a fresh vibe — especially in spring light.
🌿 Texture - Tips by skin type
Oily skin:
- Less shimmer in the T-zone
- Use Setting Powder (Vanilla / Banana) lightly under the eyes
- Press with a puff for longevity
Dry skin:
- More glow on cheekbones & temples
- Less powder
- Use shimmer shadows instead of too many matte layers
Mature skin:
- Glow higher on cheekbones
- Less product around fine lines
- Soft transitions, no harsh contrasts
Glow is about strategy, not amount ✨
