Valentine’s Glam - The perfect look using what you already have at home

I recently got the honor of starting to create newsletters here at älliés, and while doing that we realized something: some of you want more. More details. More ways to really get into the looks. And some just wants a product breakdown to experiment on your own.
Both are super so Aysha came up with the idea of turning those looks into blog posts – and honestly? I was instantly in.
I love creating makeup, but I also love writing about it. And now you get to choose how deep you want to go.
So let’s get into today’s look.
Valentine’s glam – simple, romantic & buildable
This is a Valentine’s glam look made with products you probably already have at home.
It’s soft, romantic, buildable and easy to adapt – no strict rules, just vibes. 💕
Skin prep: glow starts before makeup
For me, a good base always starts with skincare. Especially during winter when the skin tends to feel drier and needs extra love.
I prep my skin with Glow On Day Cream. It hydrates, smooths and works beautifully under makeup.
Glow On now also comes in a black packaging – a reminder that all skin tones are beautiful, seen and celebrated. This cream supports your skin without trying to change it.
The base: custom, not complicated
For foundation, I’m using my all-time favorite and a true safe choice:
älliés Mineral Liquid Foundation. I mix two shades to get my perfect match – because matching your base to your skin is always the goal.
I set everything with Setting Powder Vanilla, and then lightly add Setting Powder Melina as a warm touch, almost like a soft bronzer. Just enough to create dimension without overpowering the skin.
Blush: romantic energy only
For the cheeks, I go in with Hyperflex Shadow Ros.
It gives that soft, romantic flush that feels very Valentine’s without being too much.
And just a little reminder: I always use shades that suit my skin tone in these looks, but every product I mention comes in multiple shades – so you can find what works perfectly for you.
Glow where you want it
For glow on the cheekbones, nose, cupid’s bow and upper lip, I use Hyperflex Shadow Apel.
This shade is one of my favorites because it’s soft, fresh and super versatile.
And yes – I’ll be using it on the eyes too.
Eyes: soft, blended & timeless
I’m using the Clean Beauty palette and start with Grädde all over the lid.
Then I apply Valnöt on the outer corner and slightly towards the middle of the eye to create depth.
For a subtle shimmer, I add Apel in the inner corner.
I always go back and forth between the shadows, blending, adjusting and layering until it feels right. There’s no rush – this is where the magic happens.
Finish with mascara and you’re good to go.
Lips: one shade, two vibes
For the lips, I use Hyperflex Shadow Ros again.
You can keep it matte for a soft, blurred lip or add a clear or sheer gloss on top.
I chose Lipgloss Squad Port Louis for a glossy, romantic finish.
